What a difference a frame can make! One of these is a definite "NO,"

S.P. relishes discovering new sunglasses and imagining
the profile of the customer who may wear them. And, while we are quite adept (if we do say so ourselves) at matching frame shapes to face shapes, we are often surprised by who can't live without which pair of sunglasses. Frame color is a big influencer as is the weather. The sunny yellow Samoa below would likely appeal to many in early Spring. Would you surprise us with your choice? Would you surprise yourself? Yours in shades, S.P. We loved receiving this post card from a friend (and customer). She said it reminded her of us. Some of us do have long necks and noses, but we hope she thought of us because of the shades! And, what are our thoughts on the frame shape for this flock? We applaud the wayfarer style as it widens the narrow faces and provides ample protection from the Florida sun!
Yours in shades, S.P. One of us at Sunglass Panache has mad, mad love for the "Carrie" frame by Tom Ford. Mr. Ford knows what he is doing, and Carrie is one gorgeous frame. Alas, Carrie did not look so gorgeous on "moi."
Enter, the Isla frame from Costa Del Mar. Same glam shape; better fit--on this noggin--; and Costa's excellent polarized lenses to boot. Worth waiting for the right one. We were keeping it playful today when we outfitted Daphne for a photo shoot. Too cool for the pool, Daphne insisted on a lake location for these portraits. The session began with our photographer getting the shot, but losing a pair of custom shades to the lake bottom. Fortunately, the designer was on hand and was able to handcraft a new, bespoke pair for our waterfowl model. Inspired by classic red lips--and Daphne's refined facial features--these stunning red cat-eye frames (with red lenses) were the result of the masterful designer's hands and vision.
Daphne's assistants, Libby and Tierney (shown below), shared that this shoot was difficult since Daphne kept drifting away. And, although Daphne herself was a challenge to work with, the results are beautiful! Yours in shades, S.P. Inspiration can spring from any source; and when inspiration leads to more inspiration, it is infectious. S.P. saw a photo this morning which led to a website and then to a Pinterest board and more boards and 30 minutes of pinning. Expect these pins--and more--to inspire us as we buy for you for next season. Yours in inspired shades, S.P. |
